The bright straw-colored 2014 Champagne Vintage Brut is more focused and
restrained aromatically on opening, with a more tightly wound
personality, opening to citrus blossom, chalky earth, and green apple
notes. Medium-bodied on the palate, it has a fine mineral texture, a
wound core of fresh acidity, and is crunchy with mouthwatering salinity.
It will do well to see more time in bottle, though it will increase the
complexity of this sportier style over the coming 10 to 15 years.
