RIEDEL Fatto A Mano combines the sophistication of the ancient Venetian glassmaking tradition, with 21st-century glassmaking technology, using fully automated machine-blown techniques. This innovative series has a handmade stem and base with a machine-made varietal bowl. The execution of this new process was made possible by significant improvements in the RIEDEL glass factory in Weiden, Bavaria.
With their team of very talented Tyrolean glassmakers, RIEDEL tried and tested until they had perfectly mastered the Venetian puzzle. They built the multi-colored stems and learned how to fuse the bowl to the colored stem in the hot stage.
With its handmade stem and base, RIEDEL Fatto A Mano combines the crafts of the past with today's technologically advanced, machine-blown techniques. The finished product charms the eye with its handcrafted feel, colorful aesthetics, and varietal-specific bowls.
