A citrus-coloured wine with aromas of tropical fruit and volcanic notes from the poor basalt soils in the north of Madeira Island, together with nuances of toast and subtle, well-integrated wood. The palate is dry but creamy, with a marked acidity and a flavoursome, fresh, pleasant and slightly salty finish.
