Chateau des Jacques is the crown-jewel of Beaujolais, producing a different style of Gamay. The wines of moulin-a-vent tend to be more full-bodied than many of its Cru neighbours, and have fantastic aging potential. The wine is aged for 6 months in oak, and is probably the closest in style and weight to Burgundy. Great structure and fruit balance are the hallmarks of this wine.
